Vahsti Hale - Principal Instructor

Beat It was set up by Vahsti Hale, an instructor certified through the Self Defence Federation and specialising in womens self-defence. She has trained for over ten years in a range of martial arts including Thai-boxing, boxing, ju-jitsu and kung fu. She is currently teaching self-defence to businesses and also teaches thai-boxing in the community.

Isabela Schulz - Instructor

Isy has been teaching self-defence and personal safety for seven years and has specialised in teaching women and girls.
She has worked in many community group settings and leads regular self-defence workshops for St Johns Ambulance volunteers.
Six years training in judo, boxing and kickboxing and a desire to address womens assertiveness, self-determination and safety led Isy to teach women self-defence.
Isy has also worked as a coach at Sussex University and is a qualified self-defence tutor with the WEA (Workers Educational Association).

Anna Duxbury - Instructor

Anna has been teaching self-defence for six years and specialises in teaching children and vulnerable adults.
She has designed and taught self-defence courses for adults with mental health, alcohol and drugs issues and has worked with the Oasis womens project and other initiatives supporting the homeless.
Anna has taken Child Protection Training and has a background in kickboxing.
