About Us Beat It is the outcome of many years - studying, training and working with women with a commitment to find out the most effective methods of self protection.
Most women said that courses they had previously attended were unsatisfactory and that the techniques they learnt were soon forgotten. They said that they did not feel any safer or more able to defend themselves.
I travelled across the country and to others, to meet top instructors, and sifted through courses and manuals. I tested out what I discovered in simulated situations.
What I present in these courses - is the best combination of methods to avoid dangerous situations and how to deal with them effectively when they occur.
Tips on alertness and avoidance - an integral part of attack prevention and included in the courses - can be taught and remembered with relative ease. My aim was, that - when an attack - occurs women who had taken our courses would be able to apply the physical techniques with ease and significantly improve their chance of escape.
The number of reported rapes is thought to be the tip of the iceberg. Acquaintance rape - which is looked at in the courses is the most common type of assault yet warning signs can still be identified. Avoidance methods for these types of attack are different – but the physical techniques - should be applied in all situations. Everyone should learn how to defend themselves and reassert the right to feel safe. Our courses will help you do that. We have had a fantastic response to our training.
